NEWTON COMMUNITY CASH CLUB

Sign up by the 2nd December for the 1st Draw which will take place at the XMAS PARTY SAT 7TH DEC!
The 200 CLUB is no more…..after so many successful years this local lottery is having a makeover! Not just a new name, the NEWTON COMMUNITY CASH CLUB, but a chance to win serious cash while supporting the Village Hall. 

The draw will be made quarterly, not monthly and the year will run from October to October each year.. There will be 3 cash prizes each quarter - £150, £100 and £50. The cost to join the Newton Community cash Club for the year is £20 which automatically enters you for 4 quarterly draws, starting this December. Folk joining after the first quarter can pay pro rata according to when they join.

One of the most exciting new indie-folk duos to come out of the UK. GOOD HABITS’ joyous genre-fusion has received international critical acclaim with performances at Glastonbury and WOMAD, tours across Europe and a Top 40 album.

Composed of Bonnie Schwartz (cello and vocals) and Pete Shaw (accordion, synths and percussion) the pair mix virtuosity and harmony with vivid storytelling to give an energetic and compelling performance.

A lively hub for all the community

High Newton, Grange over Sands, Cumbria, LA11 6JH

Newton-in-Cartmel Village Hall, ideally located in High Newton, near the Heft Inn, in the Lake District National Park and provides a fine venue for a wide range of events for the local community and for public, private and corporate functions. The village of High Newton is very accessible, situated just off the A590 between Kendal and Ulverston. The village is well served by public transport. The X6 Stagecoach service between Kendal and Barrow stops in the village. Grange over Sands railway station is only 3.5 miles away with direct services and connections to Manchester.

Newton-in-Cartmel Village Hall

is the ideal venue for:

Meetings and events for groups on a regular or occasional basis

Children’s parties, local weddings, christenings, birthdays and other functions

Stage performances of music and drama, and film shows

Presentations, lectures or talks

Stop-over points for long-distance runners, bike races

and auto races. We are on the ‘Tour de Staveley’ cycle route!
